The website contains general information to help you decide how much to contribute to your retirement savings plan(s) in the form of a Contribution Maximizer Tool (the "Tool"). The Tool's calculations are based on information entered by you, the user, as well as various assumptions, such as contribution limits. Review the Assumptions & Additional Information page for a description of important assumptions reflected in the Tool's calculation methodology. The Assumptions & Additional Information page also explains the limitations of the Tool. If any assumption is not appropriate for your circumstances and/or if any of these limitations apply to you, the output of the Tool may not be accurate, and you should consult your employer's official plan documents and your tax advisor.

In order to recommend a contribution amount from each paycheck, the Contribution Maximizer uses the amount of remaining pay periods you have this year. The number of pay periods is based on the paycheck frequency you select.
Keep in mind that this calculation is an estimate based on the information you provide. Timing of contribution changes or eligible pay changes will affect the estimates provided (for example, payroll changes generally take effect in 1 to 2 pay periods following your request to change).
The Contribution Maximizer applies the Bridgestone match formula to Pre-tax contributions and/or Roth contributions only.
The Contribution Maximizer assumes you are currently eligible and remain eligible to make contributions and receive employer contributions from Bridgestone for the rest of the year. Review your Summary Plan Description to see if you meet the eligibility criteria for making contributions.
The Contribution Maximizer makes recommendations taking into account most IRS contribution limits. The Contribution Maximizer does not take into account the 15-year lifetime catch-up contribution for 403(b) plans described in Internal Revenue Code Section 402(g)(7). Bridgestone limits the amount of pay you are allowed to contribute to 50% of pay on a Pre-tax and/or Roth basis, and 50% of pay in additional “catch-up” contributions for those who are age 50 or over; however, if you become a highly compensated employee as defined by the IRS, you will be limited to 0% Pre-tax and/or Roth. Review your Summary Plan Description for more information.
If you and Bridgestone are expected to contribute the maximum possible amount this year (based on the Total Annual IRS Contributions Limit), the Contribution Maximizer will prioritize contributions to the plan according to the following order (subject to the Contribution Maximizer's limitations described above): 1) Pre-tax contributions; 2) Roth contributions; 3) matching contributions, and 4) employer non-elective contributions (if applicable)
The Contribution Maximizer assumes your new contribution elections take effect immediately and remain in effect for the remainder of the year or until your pay for the year exceeds the Annual IRS Compensation Limit.
The Contribution Maximizer does not reflect any auto-increase programs or plan designs that automatically increase retirement plan participants' salary deferral contribution rates on a periodic basis.
